Serious students of film will not want to miss the Sci-Fi London Film Festival which comes to town April 30th until May 6th. The 2013 event is being sponsored by the Defiance video game so guests can expect lots of extra video game related goodies at this event. The Sci-Fi London Film Festival is especially popular because dozens of films premiere here before being released to the general public. Another big event this year is the BFI London Film Festival. This event, in its 57th year, is being held from October 9th until the 20th. This festival draws visitors from around the world who come to see the famous celebrities who are in town to promote their films.
Last on the list of the best film festivals in London, in 2013, is the London Underground Film Festival. This festival takes place December 6th until December 9th and celebrates low budget films. Audiences are always surprised to see just how much these talented film makers can do with little to no money.
After checking out one of these fabulous events, visitors to London have numerous options for things to enjoy during the rest of their stay. The city is packed with shops selling goods of all kinds, as well as being home to a number of restaurants serving exotic dishes. In addition, visitors can enjoy some of the other sites London is famous for like Hyde Park or take in a show at one of the well-known theatres like Stomp at the Ambassadors Theatre.
